Gangs racist attack
A Taunton man was beaten and racially abused after being set upon by a gang of ten youths. The man was walking along the Taunton and Bridgwater canal.
The group of boys and girls racially abused the victim and punched and kicked him, before stealing his black mountin bike and baseball cap.

Vulnerable pensioner 'fleeced' by youths
A PENSIONER with learning difficulties has been fleeced of thousands of pounds by a gang of teenagers, it has been alleged.
It is claimed up to four youths: *frequently force Ken Featherstone, 68, to hand over his pension; *frogmarched him to the cashpoint to get money for them; *held a lighted cigarette to his throat until he gave them cash. The incident occured at
Wordsworth Drive.

Wednesday 19th September
Witness appeal after race attack

Racially aggravated incident in Goodlands Gardens at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, September 19, a 48-year-old Asian man was walking alongside Debenhams and into Goodlands Gardens when he saw three young males and a female.
The female approached the victim and subjected him to a large amount of racial abuse.
A 16-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion racially aggravated words causing fear or violence and given police bail pending further enquiries.


Wednesday, 19th September
Bottle thrown at cyclist
A woman required hospital treatment after a bottle was thrown at her while she was on her bike in Station Road.
A 21-year-old cyclist was riding her bike along the road when she was verbally abused by a group of six males, aged between 16 and 18.
After stopping to speak with the males, she was then struck on the hand by an object thrown towards her, believed to have been a bottle.
